Who does this site belong to?
This site belongs to everyone. Its sole purpose is to provide information, background and history of a known scam which has survived over a decade because this information was previously buried or removed. By storing old documents, audio recordings and other company information, the novelty of the scam is destroyed forever.
How does this site survive – who pays for it?
This site is self-funded. It has no need for advertising revenue and is provided as a public, community service. It provides no tax deduction, neither does it encourage donations or other monetary input. It does however encourage HTML links to it and also contributions to content – in ‘Madebig’ speak, a donation of time or thoughts is just as good as a donation of money, at least in this case. “Pay it forward.”
Why are you exposing a website and company that helps charities?
No one has an issue with helping charities. However, when a company knowingly misrepresents a good cause, it does not sit well when all the facts come out. TMII may give $1000 to a charity but the question really is how much did they gather in revenue, using that cause’s name and why did they keep the majority of the money? Most charities must declare the percentage of revenue kept for administration and salaries to pay their staff and CEO’s but TMII simply do not have to. When you consider this, along with the past history of Richi Roane and TMII, you can hardly trust them to do the right thing and give the majority of the money to the cause. Our advice is to cut out such a useless middleman and instead donate directly to the cause of your choice, which will also allow you to take a tax deduction if you so wish.
